What Makes You Tick?
In years of writing and the creation of characters, I have learned that every character I create is me. Just as Gustave Flaubert said, "Madame Bovary c'est moi," so could I say Geoff Ryker is me.
But let's take it a step further. Fictionalize yourself. Find a poem or a short story or something that moves you, and insert a fictional version of yourself. Show us how it changes the dynamics of the story or poem. What unique qualities or features are you bringing to the situation? What things about you will alter the outcome? Or is the outcome even altered?

This was really interesting. I had originally thought that inserting myself (in the form of Elsa) would really change things. It actually didn't. It was fun, and it was nice to call the mother an idiot, because she was a complete moron. But really nothing changed. It just fleshed out the story a little more. Any comments/criticism would be welcomed.

Kinda running late with this but I was finally struck with an idea. Don't know if it's what you had in mind but will do my best to post it tonight or tomorrow and will let you know when it's up.
